2019 Annual Meeting of the 

International Society for Research on Impulsivity

The International Society for Research on Impulsivity (InSRI) held its 2019 Annual Meeting on Wednesday May 15th, 2019, as a one‐day satellite symposium to the Society of Biological Psychiatry at The Hilton Chicago, Chicago, IL.

The meeting theme was “The Darkside of Impulsivity” and focused on: Highlighting preclinical and human research that examines features of impulsivity as they relate to disease progression, whether that be continued substance use disorders or chronic psychiatric/neurological illnesses. Also included was impulsivity in the context of RDoC for psychiatric/substance use disorders and as a transdiagnostic feature.

The objectives of the meeting were:

1.To bring together scientists from multiple disciplines (preclinical and clinical neuroscience, psychiatry,
    psychology, and computational modeling) working in the area of impulsivity, risky decision making and
    addictions to promote interdisciplinary dialog.
2.To involve trainees and junior faculty in the meeting and encourage their future participation in research 
    on impulsivity, risky decision making and addictions.

Lightning Talks:

In lieu of posters, we solicited submissions for participation in a Lightning Talk format presentation, a series of 10-15 minute bite‐sized bits of research.
