2015 North American Meeting of the
International Society for Research on Impulsivity
International Society for Research on Impulsivity
The International Society for Research on Impulsivity (InSRI) held its North American meeting on
Wednesday May 13, 2015, as a one-day satellite symposium to the Society of Biological Psychiatry in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
The conference themes focused on: Impulsivity in the Era of Transdiagnostic Approaches to Science, and Treatment Development.
The objectives of the meeting were:
- To bring together pre-clinical and clinical scientists working in the area of impulsivity to share the latest information and resources in impulsive assessment.
- To learn about how impulsivity acts as vulnerability that is relevant across a range of diagnostic categories.
- To learn about biological targets for treatment of conditions involving impulsivity and new findings of biomarkers for problems with impulse control.
- To learn about treatments that are personalized based on impulsivity or that result in impulsive behavioral change.
