Annual Meeting of the
International Society for Research on Impulsivity
The International Society for Research on Impulsivity (InSRI) convened its 2017 Annual Meeting on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, as a one-day satellite symposium to the Society of Biological Psychiatry at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront, San Diego, CA.
The meeting theme focused on:
Risky decision making and impulsivity: parallel, synergistic, or independent pathways to addiction and psychiatric disorders?
The objectives of the meeting were:
- To bring together scientists from multiple disciplines (preclinical and clinical neuroscience, psychiatry, psychology, and computational modeling) working in the area of impulsivity, risky decision making and addiction, in order to promote interdisciplinary dialog.
- To involve trainees and junior faculty in the meeting and encourage their future participation in research on impulsivity, risky decision making and addictions.
- To encourage increased participation of minority, disabled, and women scientists and clinicians in the area of impulsivity through participation in this meeting.
